Lactation visits include a detailed health and feeding history, discussion of your concerns and goals, observation of feeding and/or pumping, pre-and post-feeding weights to measure baby's milk transfer, infant oral assessment, and a personalized plan of care that we develop together. My approach is gentle and compassionate, with your goals guiding our session together.

I will provide an electronic copy of your personalized plan of care, one week of messaging or email follow-up, visit reports sent to primary providers (usually baby's pediatrician), any needed specialist referrals, and if out-of-network with insurance, a superbill for you to submit for reimbursement.

How can I best help you?

Virtual Consultation

I have extensive experience providing virtual lactation support! Through a combination of our live video session together, pre-recorded video clips and photos that I invite you to share with me, my demonstration with baby doll and other props, we can effectively address most lactation concerns.  This format is not optimal if concerned about baby's weight gain, or if baby is unable to latch, and an in-person follow-up may be recommended in certain situations.

$175 initial/$150 follow-up

In-Office Consultation

Prenatal Consultation

A prenatal lactation consultation is one of the best things you can do to prepare for having a newborn! We’ll cover the basics of getting off to a smooth start breastfeeding. Prenatal consultations are great for everyone, but are especially recommended for situations that may affect breastfeeding, such as diabetes, multiple gestation, past breast surgery, inverted or flat nipples, planned c-section, fertility or hormonal conditions such as PCOS, or past breastfeeding difficulties with your other children. Before the appointment, I will request some information about you, your plans for childbirth, breastfeeding goals, plans for work, lifestyle, and any health-related concerns you may have about breastfeeding.

$200. Available in-home, office, or virtually.

Induced Lactation Packages

If you are considering inducing lactation for a baby you are not giving birth to, such as delivering by surrogate, adoption, or planning to breastfeed/ chestfeed your baby birthed by your partner, I would love to work with you! We’ll cover options, what to expect, and develop a plan that works for you and your family to best nurture and feed your little one. I can offer individual planning sessions in person or by phone, as well as a 3-session package to help guide you through the entire process of planning and supporting baby’s feeding after their arrival. Package discounts are available for families inducing lactation. Please contact me directly for more details.
